About us

Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek is a recognized Manuscript Resource Centre of National Mission for Manuscripts New Delhi since 2004. MRC seeks to develop a holistic approach in locating, documenting, protecting and making accessible the significant information of the manuscripts heritage of India. Some of the objectives of the centre are survey, data collection, documenting. The Centre has documented data of Manuscripts total 16,528 manuscripts covering Vidarbha and Marathwada region of Maharashtra till date. The MRC also conducted various programs under Manuscript Awareness Drive.

MoU has been renewed between Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek and National Mission for Manuscripts, New Delhi on 28-09-2015.The National mission for Manuscripts, New Delhi has released Rs4.50 Lakhs as the Ist installment to the MRC Ramtek on 2015.

MoU has been renewed again between Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek and National Mission for Manuscripts,New Delhi on January 2018, Its up to December 2020.
